Hey all,

If you haven’t received a stimulus payment, there are several reasons why this could be the case.

The IRS obviously had a ton of payments to issue.  First, don’t assume you’ll be getting a check.  You’ll want to check your eligibility to see if you qualify.  In case you missed it, we recently sent a newsletter on stimulus check FAQ’s, so you can refer back to that as well.  And of course, if you still need more help, just let us know and we’ll do what we can to help you out.

For individuals receiving Veterans Affairs and/or Social Security benefits, the IRS has intentionally delayed your payments to allow you time to report any qualifying children for the additional $500 each.  The deadline for those who had to use the IRS’ Non-Filer Tool was May 5, but as we all know by now, things can change and can change quickly.

Remember that those who are claimed as dependents for tax purposes will NOT receive the stimulus payment.  Generally, taxpayers with an individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) do not qualify either, but there are some exceptions.

My team and I are still working very hard to keep up to speed on all of this so that we can quickly relay the information as it becomes available and relevant to you.  If and when you do reach out, it’s likely you’ll be getting a response from one of them.  Don’t worry-I’m not going anywhere. I just trust my team to get you what you need especially during this time.
:-)

Thanks again,

Tim
