Hey all,

As you probably know, part of the CARES Act is the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program which allows self-employed folks and the like to apply for unemployment benefits. While this is a federally funded program, it will be implemented at a state level. We shared in last week's webinar that Lt. Governor Husted mentioned that Ohio is building a brand new portal for this that they hope will be up and running by the middle of May. We just learned that Pennsylvania has opened their unemployment benefits for PUA qualifiers. You can sign up here.

What you'll need:
  • 1099's, if applicable
  • Business and personal tax returns
  • Business licenses, contracts, invoices
  • Bank statements

We will continue to monitor updates and guidelines from the federal government as well as various states. To monitor updates state-by-state, please visit this website.

As always, we are here for you!

Tim
