Hey all,

With everything that’s been going on, it’s important to remember to
take care of yourselves. Of course, we want to stay informed on changes due to the coronavirus outbreak, but we should draw a line somewhere. Try not to let this consume you. Your health and safety should precede everything else.

We’ve come up with eight tips on ways you can stay mentally and physically healthy as we adjust during this time:

  1. Listen to a radio, TV show, or music in the background while you work from home. That way, you can have white noise and avoid being bombarded by what’s in the news.
  2. Practice social distancing, but check in on your loved ones via phone call or video chat.  Try to keep that face-to-face interaction while keeping the space in between. After all, we are all in this "war" together (as the president said).
  3. Go for a walk or get in some exercise at home.  It’s easy to fall in the trap of putting this aside, but this will help you in more ways than one.  If you’re feeling overwhelmed, let this be a go-to for you.
  4. Be mindful of your diet, if possible.
  5. Keep a routine. Positive affects from this will add up, causing you to be more productive and help you stay healthy
  6. Limit your social media interaction.
  7. Pick up a book, start a project at home, play around with your pet, or do something you enjoy.
  8. If you’re working from home, get ready for work as you would any other day.  Feeling like you are in your element could alleviate any feelings of being out of your comfort zone.

We genuinely hope these ideas help you.  If you’d like more information on how to effectively work from home, please visit our website.

We will also host a free, live webinar with The Business Journal and the Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corporation on Wednesday, March 25 from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. EST covering recent governmental updates.

We invite you to sign up here.

Take it easy out there, and remember, we’re in this together.
