Hey all,

Although our physical office locations are now temporarily closed, we want to remind you that we aren’t going anywhere. ☺ We will continue to be here for you and will update you as changes unfold in response to the coronavirus.

As of today, there will be a three-month reprieve for the payment of income taxes normally due April 15. However, the April 15th deadline for those income tax returns remains unchanged right now.

FRIENDLY REMINDER: If you filed your 2018 income tax returns with us, we’ve already filed an extension for you.

Income tax payments will be interest and penalty free for 90 days and includes up to $1 million for an individual and $10 million for a corporation. This means you won’t have to actually make your 2019 tax year payment until July 14, but we will want to plan to file by the April 15th deadline.

If you haven’t sent us your tax documents and related information, please call or email our office (phone number listed below) to coordinate.

There is currently no update on first quarter 2020 estimated tax payments. Please plan to pay by the April 15th deadline, if this applies to you.

For more information, check out this page on the IRS website specifically dedicated to changes due to the coronavirus. You’ll want to check with your state as well, but Ohio seems to be mirroring the federal level in regards to income taxes.

We will continue to monitor this situation and keep you in the loop.

Thank you for everything.

Tim
